Toronto Imam asks Allah to give victory to Muslims who engage in jihad

Shaykh Riad Ouarzazi, a former instructor at AlMaghrib Institute, was born in Casablanca, Morocco and after achieving Islamic education degrees from M. Abdullah University, he moved to the States in 1988, where he pursued a Bachelors in International Management and a Masters of Science in Computer Information Systems.

He studied Aqeedah under Shaykh Waleed Basyouni and Fiqh under Shaykh Waleed Idrees and attained certificates in personal development, business management and coaching. In 2001 Ouarzazi moved to Canada and became active in Islamic work, delivering lectures and sermons in several mosques in the Greater Toronto Area.

A few years ago Riad Ouarzazi delivered a sermon entitled “A Message to the Youth” in which he recited the following supplication (originally in Arabic):

O Allah, The Almighty, The All Compelling Subduer, The The Compeller, The Ultimate Helper, give victory to our brothers the mujahideeen [Muslims who engage in jihad] everywhere, our brothers in Iraq, Chechnya, Kashmir, India, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Malaysia and everywhere. O Allah give them victory [or help them], O Allah give them victory, O Allah give them victory, the Most Merciful.
